Most Notable Quote of the Year...

Co-anchor Chris Matthews: “I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My — I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often.
”Co-anchor Keith Olbermann: “Steady.”
Matthews: “No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event. He speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment.”

Wow, that's objective?

Congressional Motors Soon To Release The Following...

Congressional Motors Announces
The First Car for 2012
The Pelosi

It's in the way you dress. The way you boogie down. The way you sign your unemployment check. You're a man who likes to do things your own way. And on those special odd-numbered Saturdays when driving is permitted, you want it in your car. It's that special feeling of a zero-emissions wind at your back and a road ahead meandering with possibilities. The kind of feeling you get behind the wheel of the Pelosi GTxi SS/Rt Sport Edition from Congressional Motors.

All new for 2012, the Pelosi GTxi SS/Rt Sport Edition is the mandatory American car so advanced it took $100 billion and an entire Congress to design it. We started with same reliable 7-way hybrid ethanol-biod iesel-electric-clean coal-wind-solar-pedal power plant behind the base model Pelosi, but packed it with extra oomph and the sassy styling pizzazz that tells the world that 1974 Detroit is back again -- with a vengeance.

We've subsidized the features you want and taxed away the rest. With its advanced Al Gore-designed V-3 under the hood pumping out 22.5 thumping, carbon-neutral ponies of Detroit muscle, you'll never be late for the Disco or the Day Labor Shelter. Engage the pedal drive or strap on the optional jumbo mizzenmast, and the GTxi SS/Rt Sport Edition easily exceeds 2016 CAFE mileage standards. At an estimated 268 MPG, that's a savings of nearly $1800 per week in fuel cost over the 2011 Pelosi.

Even with increased performance we didn't skimp on safety. With 11-point passenger racing harnesses, 15-way airbags, and mandatory hockey helmet, you'll have the security knowing that you could survive a 45 MPH collision even if the GTxi SS/Rt were capable of that kin d of illegal speed.

But the changes don't stop there. Sporty mag-style hubcaps and an all-new aggressive wedge shape designed by CM's Chief Stylist Ted Kennedy slices through the wind like an omnibus spending bill. It even features an airtight undercarriage to keep you and a passenger afloat up to 15 minutes -- even in the choppy waters of a Cape Cod inlet. Available in a rainbow of color choices to match any wardrobe, from Harvest Avocado to French Mustard.

Inside, a luxurious all-velour interior designed by Barney Frank features thoughtful appointments. A special high capacity hatchback holds up to 300 aluminum cans, meaning fewer trips to the redemption center. And the standard 3 speaker Fairness ActoPhonic FM low-band sound system means you'll never miss a segment of NPR again.

With an MSRP starting at only $629,999.99, it's affordable too. Don't forget to ask about dealer incentives, rebates, tax credits, and wealth redistribution plans for customers from dozens of qualifying special interest groups. Plus easy-pay financing programs from Fannie Mae.

So take the bus to your local CM dealer today and find out why the Pelosi GTxi SS/Rt Sport Edition is the only car endorsed by President Barack Obama. One test drive will convince you that you'd choose it over the import brands. Even if they were still legal.

Wow, I bet his career is over...

Update:

So, once again, nothing happened. Isn't government corruption grand? We no longer have ethics in government. Absolutely amazing.

Sadly, I think that government corruption goes much deeper than this -- this is merely one example of a man who was not smart enough to not be caught.

I've met some pretty interesting and powerful people since coming to BYU, and the most poignant thing that has stood out is that these powerful men are just in fact men -- and that most of these men are relatively good intentioned. In meeting the co-founder of the neo-Liberalism theory, Dean of Governmental Studies at Harvard, and the Vice Chairman of the Trilateral Commission Joseph Nye Jr., I expected to see a man of cunning, avarice, greed, and a show of drunken dictatorialism. This was anything but what I saw. I saw a good nature fellow who was quite courteous, soft-spoken, and a mere medium through which a lifetime of ideas had been acquired and implemented through various social systems. There stood before me a man who not only perpetuated - but developed - the very theories that I stand against... And I saw that he was just a good-natured man that I disagreed with. Bad government may be influenced by Satan himself, but I have found that the men who do his greatest bidding do so under the best of intentions.

Ideas are where the battle is fought. The pre-mortal council was a battle of ideas. We have been told that the pre-mortal "war" is raging more furiously today than it ever has before, so we just assume that the war over "ideas" is just as strong and important as it has ever been as well.

This story, while I laugh at the situation, is a mere facade to what's truly going on under the surface and is very sad. The media will report this as proof that they catch REAL corruption. Men like the Illinois Gov. are ignorant -- no matter what side of the political fence you sit. The corruption indexes that the international community follow are a facade as well; they really only measure the stupidity of the leaders and the people.

This being said, how interesting would it be to create a REAL "Freedom Index" that members of the Church could use to find the spiritual, political, economic, and total corruption under which their governments operate?

"We all are Mormons"

Rabbi Shifren writes:

We are living in an era of insanity! Witness the latest attempt to remake the nature of our country, founded and established on certain principles that have been the envy of the entire world. The latest assault on our country and its values comes in the form of vicious and criminal violence against the Mormon church in Westwood, California.

Interesting how the selective self-righteous indignation on the part of the radical Gay activists is played out here: they bewail the blow to freedom and justice! But I thought we just had elections, where the majority of Californians expressed their views in a free and open manner. Are we not a nation of laws? Dare we relive the McCarthy era, where Americans were harassed and threatened with the loss of their jobs for believing in a certain way? If the Gay radicals should have their way, untold numbers of Americans would live under the threat of the Gay-Lesbian "thought police," where individuals that reject the Gay lifestyle would be sought out and have sanctions brought against them.

It's bad enough for those working in the entertainment industry here in Los Angeles, where a fog of political correctness and a bending over backwards to accommodate, even promote Gay lifestyle is in full gear. Let none dare say that this type of activity is anathema to our country, our morality, and the debauchery of our young people.

Let it be stated unequivocally: The radical Gay attack on the Mormons is the shot over the bow against the United States of America. There was a time when what a man did in his bedroom was sanctified between himself and G-d. Now we are being served an "in-your-face" smorgasbord of smut and licentiousness as being between people who only "want their civil rights."

Hogwash! We are dealing with the equivalent of a moral takeover of the country that has as its bedrock a belief in G-d and His promise for humanity. They don't want civil rights! What they desire is quasi Gay/Lesbian hegemony, where a huge "bookburning," reminiscent of the Nazis, will purge any remnants of the "Christian, White, mainstream America" that has given ALL AMERICANS the most profound scope of freedom, liberty, and justice that Mankind has yet to experience.

People have perhaps wondered: why the Mormons? Answer: they are a small, yet vocal Christian minority. They have been selected by the mobs as vulnerable, a group that might not have such massive support among America's Christians.

We who are friends of the Mormons, their patriotism, their family values, will not falter in our continued support of these dear Americans. Let us recall the Christian minister Niemoller, whose admonition during those dark years of Nazi Germany moved us to our core:

"When they came for the gypsies, I said nothing, because I wasn't a gypsy. When they came for the homosexuals, I said nothing, because I wasn't a homosexual. When they came for the Jews, I said nothing, because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Catholics, and I said nothing, because I wasn't a Catholic......then they came for me, and there was no one left to defend me."

My fellow Americans, in the coming battle for the heart and soul of America and everything we cherish, may this call to arms be the mantra of every concerned patriot:

"WE ALL ARE MORMONS!"

Arachno-Capitalism?

Alright, so this made me laugh.

I've been studying a lot of what Lysander Spooner had to say (which is quite spectacular) and have learned many new and interesting things. The term "Anarcho-Capitalism" is thrown around quite losely to differentiate various forms of capitalism and thought through the latter-end of the 1800's. On Mises.org the term is also thrown around in various places (mostly political philosophy).

Anyway, while I was surfing yesterday I came across this youtube video that condemned "Arachno-Capitalism". Apparently the guy was dyslexic.

So, what IS "Arachno-Capitalism"? ..laughs.. I think I found one! I almost peed my pants...

Dear Jane,
Are you sure this drawing of a spider is the one I sent you? This spider only has seven legs and I do not feel I would have made such an elementary mistake when I drew it.

Hello, I am back and have read through your emails and accept that despite missing a leg, that drawing of a spider may indeed be the one I sent you. I realise with hindsight that it is possible you rejected the drawing of a spider due to this obvious limb ommission but did not point it out in an effort to avoid hurting my feelings. As such, I am sending you a revised drawing with the correct number of legs as full payment for any amount outstanding. I trust this will bring the matter to a conclusion.

Regards, David.

I understand and will definately make a payment this week if I remember. As you have not accepted my second drawing as payment, please return the drawing to me as soon as possible. It was silly of me to assume I could provide you with something of completely no value whatsoever, waste your time and then attach such a large amount to it.

What do you do when your bank is losing all of its money?

Pay Bill Clinton $2.1million to be your spokesman...

"Citigroup paid Bill Clinton $700,000; Goldman Sachs paid $950,000; Lehman Brothers paid $300,000 and Merrill Lynch paid $175,000 to the former president for speeches during that time period. Sen. Clinton’s 2008 financial disclosure reports are not yet available."

It's hard to stay motivated in today's cruel world...

So what's going on in the world today? Everyone appears to be saying something different about politics, economics, and the financial world in general. I adhere to Peter Schiff's economic philosophy and the Austrian School of Economics, because it works -- and I like things that work.

So, who is right?

I've never quite felt like the media is so clueless -- if not completely yellow. Today the Fed committed over $7trillion to the economic crisis! How can that be?! That's over $24,500 of debt per man, women, and child! How is the Fed getting away with this without all of America knowing exactly what's going on? How is there not a revolution in the streets? Does the American taxpayer even know what is going on? This is some type of achievement -- for the government to plunge the people into so much debt without their knowledge!

All day long I check the political and financial news and hear the different financial consultants saying different things. Wall Street is bouncing up and down and while half the financial advisers are saying "buy! buy!" -- the other half are saying "buy gold! buy gold!". So, where's the money? Who's the one making it? Apparently it's not the American people, right? The Fed did just put every man, women, and child in debt to the tune of of approx. $24,500 each. WHERE'S THE PRODUCTION OF GOODS?! Oh, yeah -- it went overseas!

I guess there's nothing really more that the Fed can do than by doubling up on its efforts (money) to save the American "Democracy"?

So, who are the players involved? There really are too many to name -- but no two men stand out quite so recognizable as do Ben Bernanke (Chairman of the Fed) and Henry Paulson (Treasury Secretary). You can see them in these two meetings before Congress.

I've looked at these guys over, and over, and over again as they attended these meetings before Congress... and... then... suddenly it occurred to me...

These guys really aren't all that smart! It's just going to take time for the rest of us to find out...

We need real leaders in America, not the sophist-propaganda of "change" that we've heard ad nauseam. However, until the America people start realizing that our leaders are taking us down a road of perpetual debt slavery, things will never change -- perhaps until it's too late.

Heaven help us all!

After it's all said and done -- the corporations won't be the ones to lose out, it will be the American people. Our artificially mandated financial system will keep arbitrarily postponing recession after recession until the whole house of cards comes crashing down... We the People are left the losers of this big financial game.
